Waterford Master Sculptor Heritage Guitar

The Electric Guitar is a fantastic example of the craft of sculpting at the House of Waterford. Many Artisans played an important part in creating such a beautiful piece. The guitar took 12 weeks to craft at the factory in Waterford, from design ideas, and blocks of crystal, to sculpting and on to the cutting shop. Crystal sculpture is the same in principle as stone sculpture except that wheels are used instead of mallets and chisels. The Master Sculptors work three-dimensionally, using their skill to sculpt the desired piece from a solid block of crystal.
