Thomas Diem

Irish designer Thomas Diem is a second-generation potter situated in Ashbourne in the Royal County of Meath. Born in NYC, he moved to Ireland as a child and learned his skills from his father, opening his own studio in 1997. Thomas’ studio is bright and spacious creating a great atmosphere for visitors to view the production of his hand-crafted pottery. Thomas pulls inspiration for his work from anywhere, a beautiful Irish landscape or large architectural project. His unique style captures the essence of cleanliness and simplicity by using white as the primary colour to contrast the bright colour underneath. His hand-crafted work combines traditional skills with contemporary design resulting in functional yet beautiful pieces of art.
